A DAY IN THE STUDIO WITH MC VANCE

The Naija whistle crew visited Festac based high rising music producer and artiste Mc Vance in his studio for a chat recently.

Mc Vance a computer science student of the Lagos state university (LASU) has over 10 years of music production experience and is the current producer of Durella the King of the Zanga’s yet to be released album.

Mc Vance has been privileged to work with top Nigerian musicians including Sound sultan, Cartiar, 2 Face Idibia,

Wiz kid, Chuddy k and high life singer Flavour N’abania.

Other artistes he has worked with include Made and Jhybo whose songs Efimile and Amplified are receiving good airplay in Nigerian radio stations.

How come we don’t hear much about you?

That is because I am more of a producer and people tend to know the artiste without giving credits to the guy behind the hit. Well most of my works are on air and Made’s video is receiving massive rotations on TV and the internet.

What are your plans for the future?

Releasing my debut album and working with international artistes.

Like who?

The superstars of the period (laughs).

What is your perception on Nigerian music?

We keep getting better and we are more acceptable internationally. 2 Face Idibia just won the BET awards which is a plus for the Nigerian music and entertainment industry. In Africa, Nigeria leads in not only music but fashion, entertainment and more.

Any dream collaborations?

I just did a “collabo” with Flavour N’abania. The rest is my little secret.

I love the crew and creativity at Naija whistle. They are a unique brand and are rising so fast.
