Nigerian super eagles beat host Madagascar with a 2 – 0
score line at the 2012 African nations cup qualifiers. The match played at the
Antananarivo stadium had goals emerge in the second half from Joseph Yobo’s
good use of Mikel Obi’s corner kick and
Obinna Nsofor’s 75th minute
shot.
The super eagles now have 10 points and are second in group
B, behind Guinea. They still need to win Guinea at a home based match to be
played in October if they are to qualify for the African cup of nations in
2012.
Meanwhile the Super Eagle’s captain Joseph Yobo is trying to
beat deadline for transfer to Turkish champions Fenerbahce. Yobo was dropped by
Everton’s coach Tofee and is not included among Everton’s 23 man squad this
season.
