The Ikemba of Nnewi Kingdom and Nigerian war veteran Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu has passed on at the age of 78. Ojukwu died at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in the UK where he was receiving treatment for
a critical stroke he suffered last year. Ojukwu was an elder statesman and was the General in charge of the Eastern Armed forces in the Nigerian civil war popularly known as the Biafran war. He was also once the presidential candidate for the All Nigerian People's Alliance (APGA) where he was a founding father.
He is survied by Bianca Ojukwu an ex beauty queen and former miss Nigeria.
