PAW PAW TO GET NATIONAL AWARD
Popular Nigerian actor Osita Iheme aka Paw paw of the Aki and Paw paw fame popular in the Nigerian movie industry will join other great names in Nollywood to receive the prestigious Federal goverment of Nigeria award as a Man of the Federal republic (MFR). Other top Nollywood stars to be honoured include Olu Jacobs, Genevieve Nnaji, Stephanie Okereke, Amaka Igwe and Kanayo O Kanayo.
The recognition of Chinedu Ikedieze aka Aki by the Federal government last year had drawn criticisms from Nollywood practitioners who said Pawpaw should be recongnized alongside his twin brother Aki as they both act in the same movies.
Pawpaw had reacted saying he is patient and his time will soon come.

FUNKE AKINDELE TO PREMIER THE RETURN OF JENIFA OCTOBER 7th
After a successful premier in New York and Chicago, veteran
Nollywood actress Funke Akindele will be premiering her new movie THE RETURN OF
JENIFA in Nigerian cinemas on October 7th. The new Nigerian film is
a continuation of the popular and funny Yoruba movie JENIFA 1 & 2 which was
made popular because of the new slangs “Yelz, gbo gbo bigz boys and bigz girls”
which was introduced into the contemporary Nigerian English and Yoruba
languages through the movie. Popular Nigerian Entertainer/ presenter Denrenle
also starred in Jenifa 2.
The story was written and produced by Funke Akindele who
featured as Jenifa the wannabe big girl who got everyone laughing at her funny
lifestyle and accent.

NOLLYWOOD ACTOR SAM LOCO EFE DIES AT 66
Veteran comedian and Nollywood actor Sam Loco Efe died today Sunday 7th august at Owerri in a hotel room during the shoot of a movie.
Sam Loco is known for his funny roles in the Nigerian movies and his funny attitude and was a pioneer in Nollywood.
He has featured in lots of movies including a soap opera titled everyday people.Some of his other movies include Police story, Daddy must obey and other epics.
