Music Premiere: Ghost Daddy By Skai
From the same Peterking College of Music that produced the likes of Lagbaja and Asa among others, there emanates another great act. This gentleman refers to himself as a mere music wanna-be star, but his music speaks otherwise for him.
Skai is definitely one to watch out for in 2012. Naija Whistle’s Dashing Debola talked to the soon to be Legend, about his musical career and boy! Did we get a great response?
Can we meet you please?
Well, I am Skai, a music star wanna-be and a singer/songwriter. For my real names, I'd love to save you the rigor of trying to

Did I say convicts? Oh no! Sorry I meant the three top
Nigerian musical acts (Wizkid, P Square and 2Face Idibia) have been signed unto
Akon’s record label Konvict music.
Details of the music deal are still sketchy but Akon on his
visit to Nigeria had first hinted of his intentions to sign the musicians on
his label via Twitter. He then went ahead to announce the new development on

NIGERIAN MUSIC, CALLING ON THE WORLD
From Yankee to Sango, to the streets of Accra, “everybody just de feel me”. That’s my
remixed version of Davido’s hit single “Back when” which literally represents
the happenings in the Nigerian music industry. (Davido is a new Nigerian
musician).
Once a song becomes a hit in Lagos, it quickly spreads to
other parts of Nigeria and makes an impact in other African countries like
South Africa, Ghana and even Congo.
That same song can become a hit in parts of Europe
especially the UK, Germany, Belgium and even the United states.
Yes! Nigerian music is not just international

CELEBRITIES OVER 40 AND STILL GOOD LOOKING
Do you remember your 20’s? (Sorry teens). I’m sure you felt on top of the world bubbling with energy. You either aspired to be a celebrity or felt like one already with good looks as your major asset. Your eye looked with brightness and your mind was filled with dreams you couldn’t wait to fulfil.
Despite life screwing most people, others go ahead to fulfil those dreams yet others loose it on the way. A few still manage to have it all (fulfilling those dreams while still maintaining that youthful looks and charisma).
Here’s a profile of some celebrities across politics, music, movies (Nollywood and Hollywood), journalism and entertainment that are above 40 and still good looking.

HOW TO PROMOTE YOUR MUSIC IN NIGERIA
Every upcoming musician wants to “blow” (make it big) in the
Nigerian music industry. A major question they ask at the beginning of their
musical journey is how do I promote my music?
Since major record labels like Mo’hits, Kennis Music,
Chocolate city and Storm records that can manage, package and promote your
songs will hardly get you signed, you will need to take up responsibility as
your own music promoter.
My experience shows that unlike the USA where big labels
like Sony BMI, Rockafella and Young money can sign up an artiste based on raw
talent, in Nigeria you will have to

DON JAZZY CO PRODUCES FOR JAY Z AND KANYE WEST
After being signed into Kanye west's good music label with fellow mohits mate D banj,
Don Jazzy has finally produced an international single titled lift off from Jay Z and Kanye's 2011 collaboration album titled Watch the throne. He also got vocal credits as I'm sure Jay Z and Kanye would have fallen in love with his melodious and deep voice.
The track also features Beyonce and seal........another Nigerian who hardly claims to be from Nigeria.
The song is likely to be the first single to be released off the album which should be out on the 2nd of August.
No wonder Don Jazzy and D banj now take New York as a second home and hardly come to Lagos Nigeria since being signed into the good music crew.
D banj's tweets say he is recording in the studio with Don Jazzy now for their international album.
I can only say good luck to the duo as we hope they bring more light into the Nigerian entertainment scene.
